I am often asked the question, "how do you select a company to join in business ?". These questions often come from newcomers to the network marketing industry.

I am quick to answer them with the same answer Fortune uses to judge a company. Here are the attributes on which companies are evaluated by Fortune.

1. Ability to attract and retail talented people.
2. Quality of management.
3. Social responsibility to the community, state and environment.
4. Innovativeness.
5. Wise use of corporate assets.
6. Quality of products and service.
7. Financial soundness.
8. Long team investment value.
9. Effectiveness in doing business globally.
10. And last...How do you feel about the company?

Please study this test the next time you are thinking about making a move. As careful as I am I made a major mistake one time by letting my heart evaluate the move. Big mistake. You have to give up all your excuses !

Welcome back to my blog,

Once you are in the 'people-business' for any length of time you will be able to identify good prospects within the first 5 minutes of your very first conversation with them.

How ? Successful people NEVER make excuses and if you discover your new prospect making excuses for their position in life, the business they are in, their teammates, or any negative excuses then this prospect is doomed to fail.

We are looking for people who will take one-hundred percent responsibility of everything...their lives, their families, their jobs and their home-based business if they decide to join you and your team.

While building a home-based network marketing business you do not have time to build other peoples business...and most importantly you do not have time to listen to excuses...therefore you are looking for someone that will take the opportunity and run with it !

Dear Home-based Business Owners,



It took me years to discover two key things in Network Marketing.



1. People do not join a company...they join you ! In order to have lots of people on your team and in your business you must become someone people will want to be in business with and want to share their goals and dream with over the next 3-5 years. Are you that person ? Are you working to improve to a point that you are going to be a legend in this industry. You can if you believe you can !

2. People do not join you to have mansion on a hill, 12 automobiles, an airplane and two large boats. They join you to get some extra cash to help them to enjoy their passion...they are going to keep their 'day-job'. They just need an additional stream of income to do some other things. They can not see themselves as a professional network marketer.


So you need to work on these two key elements of your business and understand what they are and how they will fit into your plans.

Now share these two keys with your leaders and over the next 90 days work together to fit these two keys into your being.
